Come and join our Ice Cats family! We want you to have fun, make new friends and learn new hockey skills along the way. Hockey season is quickly approaching, so it's time to register to make our year a success for all our players! We have the following house league programs available for the 2023-2024 season.
Ice Kittens - This is our Learn-to-Skate program that runs for 10 weeks. This program is geared towards players aged 3-7. We run two 10 week sessions, one in the fall, and one in the winter. There is a separate registration and fee for each session. Ice times are on Saturday morning. This age group is filling up fast, so register today!
Tyke - Our Tyke program runs for 20 weeks and is geared to teaching players about hockey with drills and mini games throughout the sessions. Players MUST be able to skate unassisted, get up unassisted and stop unassisted. This program is geared to players aged 5-8 depending on skill level. Ice times are on Saturday morning. This age group is filling up fast, so register today!
U9 - Our U9 program continues to develop the skills of our young players through practices and games. From Oct-Nov, they will have practices only. From Nov-Jan 15 their games will be played on half-ice. After Jan 15, they will begin playing full-ice games. We follow the Hockey Canada U9 Player Pathway. We encourage the rotation of goalies, allowing all the players to have a chance to play goal at least once over the season. Goalie equipment is provided by BGHA. This division is for players aged 7 and 8 (born in 2015, 2016). This year we will be having two U9 teams, and they will be a part of the GHGHL, so they will travel for some of their games. Ice time is typically Saturday and Sunday, with some weeknight ice time available sporadically. We still have spots left, so be sure to register today!
U11 - Our U11 program is for players who are aged 9 and 10 (born in 2013, 2014). These players will continue to develop their skills with full-ice games and practices. This year we will be having two U11 teams, and they will be a part of the GHGHL, so they will travel for some of their games. Ice time is typically Saturday and Sunday, with some weeknight ice time available sporadically. We still have spots left, so be sure to register today!
U13 - Our U13 program is for players who are aged 11 and 12 (born in 2011, 2012). These players will continue to develop their skills with full-ice games and practices. U22 - Our U22 program is for players who are aged 18, 19, 20, 21 (born in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005). These players will continue to develop their skills with full-ice games and practices. This year they will continue to be a part of the GHGHL, so they will travel for some of their games. Ice time is typically Saturday and Sunday, with some weeknight ice time available sporadically.
