It all started with a movie...."Kiss and Cry", a made for TV movie about the story of Carley Allison,
a promising 18 year figure skater from Toronto who finds love just as she is diagnosed with a rare
1 in 3.5 billion form of cancer, sarcoma.   Throughout her young life and battle with cancer she
always had a positive outlook on life and touched the hearts of many Canadians.

It was now the Midget BB Team's turn to help and make a difference... they sold their "leave no
doubt" fundraiser t-shirts for $20 and all the profits went to Carley's Angels- The Carley Allison
Foundation to support cancer research    http://teamcarley.ca/

Hockey is defined as a team game played between 2 teams using sticks with which the players
try to attempt to drive a puck in to the opposing goal . To us, the Brantford Ice Cats Midget BB
girls hockey team, it means so much more than that.

It is a past time that we love very much and strive to be the best that we can be, it is a place
where we get to hang out with some of our best friends, it is highs and lows after a game that
we learn from and grown from, it is the sport that we chose to play because of love.

We may just be one girls hockey team , but we are a hockey team with the determination to
make a difference in someone's life by raising funds for our team sales of these amazing
t-shirts that we've created.

We are teammates by chance, friends by choice

The Brantford Ice Cats Midget BB team gave back to their community.

These young ladies collected much needed supplies for the Brantford Welcome In.   Brantford
Welcome In is a not-for-profit charity providing shelter and support for the adult homeless
in our community.

They asked for donations of new or gently used
Winter coats for adult men and women
Hats, mittens, gloves and scarves
Winter boots
Blankets
Twin size sheets/pillow cases

The asked everyone to look in your closets and linen cupboards for anything that you may be
able to part with that will help the shelter provide an essential service to people that could use
a hand as the cold weather quickly approaches.   All donations can be given to any player or
coach on the Midget BB team. Thank you for supporting our players’ efforts to make a difference.

You can still make a donation at http://www.brantfordwelcomein.com/ - let them know that
the Brantford Midget BB Team sent you.
