U11 B Ice Cats win their second medal of the season 2023-24
The weekend of January 19th, 2024, our U11 B Ice Cats played in the Cambridge Roadrunner's 28th Annual New Year's Challenge Tournament.
There was 8 teams divided into 2 Pools. Our Cats were in Pool A with the Barrie Sharks, Waterloo Ravens and the North Halton Twisters. |

Their Round Robin consisted of 3 games where this team won all three games. Two games were shut-outs.
Game 1: a shut-out win against the Barrie Sharks (3-0)
Game 2: a win against the Waterloo Ravens (6-1)
Game 3: another shut-out win against the North Halton Twisters (3-0) |

| The Semi-Final games were played Saturday afternoon. Once again our Cats won with a shut-out against the Cambridge Roadrunners. The final score was 4-0. On to the Championship game Sunday. |

Sunday was the Championship Game against the Oshawa Lady Generals. Fans' blood pressures were through the roof as they were playing the only other team who had not lost a game this tournament. Of course, these Cats were chilled and cooled. They WON the GOLD! The final score was 2-1.
