It is with deep sadness that the BGHA shares the loss of Canada's hockey dad, Walter Gretzky, who passed away March 4th, 2021.
Walter's dedication to youth hockey and charities (CNIB) was endless.
Every year, Walter was the greatest supporter of the BGHA's Walter Gretzky Tournament. Each day of the tournament he was at the WGSC arena encouraging and cheering for girls hockey while posing for pics and signing autographs.
His amazing generosity of his time was met with such excitement by all the players.
Wayne's post of his Dad's passing can be read
here.

Attention members
Recently there have been incidents of
email-based impersonation scams. This is
where a cyber-criminal uses the email of another person to request that you
send money. These incidents have
occurred using the names of some of our Board members.
Please be aware that
NO BGHA Board member
would or will send an email asking you for money –
EVER.
If you do receive one of these emails, do not send money but please notify
Lisa of the email.

volunteering their time to ensure the best experience for you daughter,
granddaughter or niece?
Then let them know by nominating him/her for an award!
