Organization - Hey Ice Cats - Paying Tribute to Walter

In the Brantford Expositor today, they are suggesting the following:

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no way Brantford will be able to properly pay tribute to the greatest ambassador the city has ever seen. But even without a funeral or rally in his recognition, there is a way to honour Mr. Gretzky.

For many years it’s been customary for hockey players to recognize an outstanding performance by tapping their sticks on the ice to salute greatness. Shortly after the announcement of Mr. Gretzky’s death was posted to social media, the idea was floated that people should place hockey sticks on their front porches as a way to honour him."

Let's show our respect and gratitude, Ice Cats, lets show your stick at the door.
