U13 A & U13 B Community Food Drive

		On August 14th and 20th, Brantford Ice Cats U13 A & U13 B hosted a Food Drive at the Shellard Lane Sobey's and the Zehr's in the Walmart Mall. Collection bags were sponsored by Brant Beacon and Michael Stamou.

These Ice Cats worked really hard to obtain food and cash donations over two weekends.

		Aside from working so hard, this was a great opportunity to build team spirit and have fun!



They filled more than two full pallets of food.

		In all, these Cats were able to gather 1546 lbs. of food in less than 8 hours. Additionally, they were able to provide $1354.65 in cash donations to the Food Bank.

We met the Executive Director of the Food Bank and she expressed their gratitude to the players and explained how these donations will help the families in our community that rely on the Food bank to survive.
