Intent to Skate Registration
Submitted By Lisa Wallis on Wednesday, July 29, 2020

Members,

Well COVID has certainly changed up so much for so many and Brantford Girls Hockey has not been excluded from that.

With our municipality opening up along with the OWHA now sanctioning small group activities, we are planning 2 skates for the following ages groups at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre.

U13-U18 - Ice times and dates will be scheduled once we have the applicants to fill the spots.

We are only able to offer skates to applicants that were members with BGHA for the past season.

Currently we are restricted to 10 people on and off the ice, which includes coaches. Coaches from 2019/20 that were on a roster will be running the ice times. We will divide the ice times into divisions but these are just skates not team events or tryouts.

Cost will be $35.00 per applicant, which will cover 2 skates.   We are not able to offer single skates at this time. Unfortunately due to our limited ice and limited players on the ice - we must receive payment prior to August 10th or the player will not be allotted any ice time this round. Payment must be paid by Etransfer [email protected]

There are a number of protocols that must be adhered to and we have referenced on our website https://bgha.ca/Pages/9872/Covid_19_Information_Protocols_and_Forms/

Applicants will be further advised prior to their first skate. Anyone not following the guidelines and protocols that have been set out will be asked to leave the arena as it very important that we follow them.

Novice & Atom unfortunately will not be included in this round of skating as the OWHA also has protocols in place with respect to when they are allowed on the ice.

Please complete the following form by August 5th in order to be included in on ice activity for the month of August. https://bgha.ca/Tournaments/1405/Libraries/9874/Lisa/

Like all organizations we still have no clear vision to what the future holds as far as dates and times for tryouts but we will endeavor to keep you up to date as soon as we too have the information available to us.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
