Ice Cat of the Week: Julia Tenklooster
Submitted By Lisa Wallis on Monday, January 27, 2020
This weeks player of the week nomination is Julia Tenklooster. Julia is one of our teams goalies and she is on fire this season with 7 shut outs so far and continues to develop her skills.

Julia may seem quiet and shy upon first meeting her but don’t let her fool you because she definitely is not. She’s a very funny girl and has a great sense of humour. Julia is a team player in every aspect of the definition. She gives her best effort at all team functions on and off the ice, during all of our team fundraising efforts and community give-back initiatives. Our goalies this season have been training weekly with Adam Balis, a goalie trainer and with his guidance and expertise and very detailed training methods, both of our team goalies have excelled in their hockey game .Having additional goalie training has definitely proved beneficial for our goalies and our team overall as our team has been in the top of our llfhl loop all season. Every player plays an important part on our team and playing their position the best they can makes everything run smoother. Having a goalie that is always improving and shows such a passion and dedication for her position is amazing. Heading into llfhl division playoffs and owha playdowns next weekend, Julia’s determination to playing her best hockey is admired and very much appreciated. These young ladies have had a fabulous regular season filled with lots of extra team off ice training, extra team development sessions on ice and weekly goalie training. Helping our team to be athletic and strong and play their best hockey they can. Keep up the amazing hockey Julia. Your coaches and teammates.
