Ice Cat of the Week: Sarah Weiler
Submitted By Lisa Wallis on Tuesday, January 21, 2020
This weeks Player of the Week nomination is Sarah Weiler. The past 2 weeks our Bantam team has been participating in a Food Bank Collection challenge .... we challenged the Woodstock Wildcats bantam team to see who could collect the most Food Bank items to each  help our local charities out this upcoming holiday season.

A healthy competition can go a long way .... and it definitely paid off overall. Our team collected over 3000+ items and Woodstock wasn’t far behind us. Sarah doesn’t live in Brantford but still took the extra initiative to canvas her friends, family and local neighbourhood , distributing flyers to collect Food Bank items. Sarah put in that extra effort to make this even more of an overall success. Posted is Sarah’s individual efforts for her collection and we are amazed at all your hard work. Each and every “give-back “ program our team has participated in , Sarah is always putting in extra effort and her caring and dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. Sarah is a very strong willed and hardworking player and gives her all during each and every practice and game . Sarah loves hockey and it shows. A grade nine student this season she has a harder school work load but that hasn’t stopped Sarah from doing any extra work she can in volunteering or helping out our team. Thank you for being awesome and giving each and everything you do that little bit extra, it is so much appreciated. Keep up the great job, the dedication you have to want to help is contagious. Your coaches and teammates.
