Ice Cat of the Week: Adella Smith
This weeks player of the week for our Bantam B team is Adella Smith. This is Adella’s first year playing hockey with the girls, coming from a boys league. We are super thrilled that she chose our Brantford association to play for.
Her hard work ethic is amazing and she gives each and every practice and game her absolute all. She plays her defensive position with such skill and dedication that it’s contagious and she pushes her teammates to push harder as well. Her strength and determination only grows with each ice session this season. From day one Adella fit right in with her team and through a lot of common interests they all hit it off .... especially their love for the best game ever .. hockey !!.... and maybe boys too bahahahahaha. A grade nine student Adella makes that long drive in from Ingersoll for all our our team functions, practices and games and shows up on time and with a smile on her face each and every time. She is an amazing hockey player with grit that can’t be taught but rather you are born with. She is a strong force on the ice and protects her goalie with amazing efforts. She is a strong, powerful skater. Through the many off-ice initiatives our team is and has participated in this season, she is right there to help and participate. Our 18th Girl Project, our current Food Bank Drive challenge and our off ice weekly dryland sessions at Athlete Farm Training. Adella you are awesome, stay that way. We are so glad that we can call you one of our own, a Brantford Ice Cat. Keep up the amazing job. Your coaches and teammates. This article has been viewed 276 times.
