Ice Cat of the Week: Alexa Kuranc
Submitted By Lisa Wallis on Tuesday, November 19, 2019
This weeks player of the week for our Bantam B Rep team is Alexa Kuranc. This young lady is such a hard worker in every single game that she plays. From the time that puck drops at the start of the game she gives 200% and skates her heart out, never quitting, never giving up, never slowing down!

Alexa’s work ethic inspires her teammates to do more. She is a naturally talented hockey player and continues to get better throughout our season. This past weekend during our away tournament in Barrie, Alexa played five phenomenal games. The scoreboard in a couple of games definitely did not reflect the effort that she and her amazing teammates gave, giving everything they had is all that we can ask of them. As a team Alexa and all her teammates should be very proud of how they played. Alexa has also shown such excitement in participating in our 18th girl project this season, and asks frequently if there’s any updates on Peruth and when we can email her or communicate with her again. If there’s any new pictures to share. She is a very mature and positive leader not only on her forward line but on this team overall. Coming over from boys hockey a couple of seasons ago we are so glad that she made the swap and chose Brantford as her girls association to play for. Alexa is very close with each and everyone of her teammates and these are friendships that these young girls will have throughout their hockey careers and hopefully continue on in life.

We can’t wait to see where the season takes you.... keep up the amazing hard work. Your coaches and teammates.
