Ice Cat of the Week: Petra Keefe
Submitted By Kate Hogarth on Wednesday, October 30, 2019
This week’s player of the week for our Bantam Rep B Brantford is Petra Keefe. Petra is a natural born leader ... she encourages with a positivity that is beyond her young years.

She is a friend to everyone and always makes the best of every situation. Hockey is so much more than just a game. Hockey is an opportunity for our players to be a part of a physical activity, to learn life skills, to learn how to be a part of a team, to learn how to make a commitment and show dedication towards it. A hockey team becomes like a little family and everyone has their roles within it. In this hockey family Petra is our lil mama, looking out for everyone and making sure everyone is taken care of and happy. Petra is a very determined hard working hockey player on and off the ice. Her defensive minded playing helps her to excel in her position and protect her zone. Petra always give her best effort and we are so amazed at all her hard work, each and every game. With our 18th Girl Project, Petra went that extra step and wrote a hand written letter for Peruth and added to our team care package being sent over. Petra is always asking for updates on Peruth and has the biggest heart. Even taking time to learn a bit of the language Peruth speaks so we can send over a video for our 18th Girl to watch from the team that she will understand without being translated. In school she even chose Uganda where Peruth is from to learn more about her life. Petra is adored by all her teammates and coaches....  never give up your passion for doing what is right ... not to many people in life can say they have this positive outlook...you do! So excited to see what this hockey season brings, keep it up!

Your coaches and teammates.
