Ice Cat of the Week: Kahs Green
Submitted By Lisa Wallis on Tuesday, October 15, 2019
Our Bantam Rep B Ice Cats Player of the week is Kahs Green. This is a well deserved honour as Kahs is a true team player and always thinks of others before herself.

She is a dedicated team player and is always working hard to be the best than she can, attending weekly goalie training session with her trainer as well as showing up for all team sessions on and off the ice. She comes from a large amazing family, being the only sister out of 6 children she shows her caring and kindness off the ice but on the ice she’s fierce and gives her absolute all not letting our opponents score. Our team is participating in an initiative this season called the 18th Girl Project.... our players worked together as a team as well as individually to raise money to help pay for corrective surgery for Peruth, a 5 year old little girl born in Uganda with two clubbed feet. After our first team sit down to see if the girls were interested in participating in this initiative... they were all challenged to come back by our next ice session with a donation from work they’ve done, helping out and earning money for themselves or to make, create and sell an item. Kahs took the program to heart and jumped in, giving it her all. She was the first team player to come to me and have donation money as she’d taken it upon herself to make beautiful earrings and sell them to put towards our 18th Girl Project donation goal. Kahs’ teammates know her quirky sense of humour and love that she is so down to earth and yet takes her role on our team very seriously... Thank you for always seeing the good in any situation Kahs, you are amazing, never change!
