Walter Gretzky has passed away
Submitted By Kate Hogarth on Friday, March 5, 2021
It is with deep sadness that the BGHA shares the loss of Canada's hockey dad, Walter Gretzky, who passed away March 4th, 2021.
Walter's dedication to youth hockey and charities (CNIB) was endless.
Every year, Walter was the greatest supporter of the BGHA's Walter Gretzky Tournament.  Each day of the tournament he was at the WGSC arena encouraging and cheering for girls hockey while posing for pics and signing autographs.
His amazing generosity of his time was met with such excitement by all the players.

Wayne's post of his Dad's passing can be read here.
