Another great Tyke Season 2019/20
This season we had 19 Tyke players in total. They made up our three Tyke teams: Toronto Tom Cats, Boston Bob Cats and the Montreal Wild Cats.

Practicing Knee drop |
The focus of the U7 Player Pathway is “Developing Skills First” and this is exactly what our Tykes did. |
85% of practice time is to be spent learning the technical skills like fundamental movement skills (striding, turning, stopping) and motor skills of agility, balance and coordination. |
Fun game of tag that works on motor skills |
Manipulation skills like shooting, passing and puck control are also practiced. |
The games are cross-ice set-up. The teams use the ice barriers as the ‘bench’. |
Our Tyke Players show the older Ice Cats how to work the puck when it’s against the boards. |
The teams get to learn the basics of the game. Players rotate through all positions |
