Peewee BB take GOLD at the Walter Gretzky Tournament Feb 2020
Peewee BB takes Gold at the 39th Walter Gretzky Tournament – February 21 – 23, 2020
This team picked up 2 Silver Medals already in the 2019/20 Season, so with the last Tournament of the season ending with GOLD is well deserved for these Ice Cats.
The Peewee BB Cats were in a Round Robin with 4 other teams: Ayr Rockets, Timmons Kiwanis Falcons, Scarborough Sharks and the Oakville Hornets. All teams provided excellent games to watch.
Our Cats played each team winning 3 and having 1 tied game:
Ice Cats playing Ayr Rockets: 4 - 0
Ice Cats playing Timmons Kiwanis Falcons: 1 – 1
Ice Cats playing Scarborough Sharks: 4 – 2
Ice Cats playing Oakville Hornets: 2 – 1
The girls came out in 1st place in the Round Robin and on to the Finals where they played the 2nd place team – the Ayr Rockets (who only lost to our Cats in the Round Robin).
This team was ready for that GOLD and won the game 5 – 0!
