2024/25 U15BB takes GOLD at the Buffalo River Outdoor Classic

The U15BB Team participated in the Buffalo River Outdoor Classic Tournament this weekend. This tournament was held at two venues with Outdoor Ice, Buffalo Riverworks and the Classic Rink. The final was held at the Classic Rink.
Our first game was against the Florida Wild 14UAA team and we started off strong with a 4-0 victory. Gabby Cote with the shutoff for the Ice Cats.
Our second game was against the West Northumberland U15A team. We scored two goals in the first period, enroute to a 5-3 win with Clara Hawke making several key saves for the Ice Cats. Clara added an assist as well!
We played Grand River Mustangs U15BB in the first game on Saturday morning, with Brantford winning 4-2.
Our final round robin game was against Niagara Falls U15B. The Ice Cats won 7-3.

The Brantford Ices Cats went undefeated into Sunday's Tier 1 Final game vs the West Northumberland Wild U15A team from the Cobourg, Ontario region. The score was tied 2-2 with only two minutes to play when Sophia Da Silva picked up the puck in the neutral zone and drove to the net and scored for the Ice Cats to give them the tournament championship and remain undefeated for the entire weekend.
Both Raegan Charter and Isabelle Jolley led the tournament scoring with 10 points each. Isabelle Jolley was named tournament MVP.

All of the players working together allowed our team to come away as the Champions of the 2025 Buffalo River Outdoor Classic. Goal scorers for the tournament included: Raegan Charter, Isabelle Jolley, Hailee Pinnance, Presley Vanderwal, Alina Zylstra, Hannah Fellinger, Aidan Smith, Collins Smith and Sophia Da Silva.
