2024/25 U15BB Brings home Bronze Medal
| The U15BB Ice Cats were at the Cambridge Roadrunners 29th Annual Girls Hockey Tournament this past weekend. They were in a large pool of teams with 6 other teams - the Keene Wolverines, the Lindsay Lynx, the Peterborough Ice Kats, the Stratford Aces, the Cambridge Roadrunners and the Oakville Hornets. |

| In this Round Robin, our Cats did not play the Stratford Aces or the Cambridge Roadrunners. They did play the Keene Wolverines and the Lindsay Lynx who were in 1st and 2nd place with no loses. This left the team in the play-off for the Bronze Medal against the Peterborough Ice Kats. This game was to be played on Sunday. The team would need to bring all their skills and teamwork for this medal. |

This was one of those heart palpitation games - a.k.a - "Oh my heart". The score was 1 - 0 for Peterborough near the end of the 3rd period. The team fought to tie the game in the final minute and with the goalie pulled for an extra attacker.
The game ended 1-1 - so on to the shootout.
We went to our 13th shooter in the shootout to win. Alyssa Bazuin scored a beautiful goal off the post top left hand corner to give us the lead in the shootout. Clara Hawke, who was brilliant during the game and in the shootout, was able to stop the 13th shooter from Peterborough to allow us to win the game.
