2024/25 U11BB Rock Roc City with a GOLD

October 25^th, 2024 weekend saw the U11BB Ice Cats playing in the Roc City Rochester Girl Fest Tournament. This was an outstanding weekend of hockey! There was 30 teams divided into 6 groups. Our Cats were in the White Group B with the Whitby Wolves BB, the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite – Reichenbach and the Southtown Stars.

Game 1: The Ice Cats take on the Pittsburgh Penguins. Just to show how Canadian Cats play, this team started with a winning shut-out game of 7-0.
Game 2: The Ice Cats take on the Southtown Stars. Once again our Cats shone with a winning shut-out game of 5-0
After a good night's sleep, the team was ready for Saturday's games. Game 3 was against the Whitby Wolves. This win put the Cats into the Quarter Finals.
The Quarter Finals were played on Saturday afternoon against the Southtown Stars. To move forward the team needed to win this game. They didn't disappoint. Another win that put the Cats into the Semi-Finals.
The Semi-Finals were against the Whitby Wolves that sent the Cats to the Championship Game for the White Group.
The Championship Game! Our Ice Cats ended up playing the Rochester Jr. Americans for the Championship. The Rochester Jr. Americans won their Semi-Final game in the White Group A. The game was Sunday at 1 p.m.
1st period:This exciting period ended 1-0 for the Cats with each team have 1 penalty.
2nd period: This period ended 2-1 for the Cats. The team was getting serious, playing smart - no penalties but Rochester picked up another.
3rd Period:Sealed the deal!!
