The Ice Cats cross-town rivals Avalanche did not under estimate Brantford, putting their best efforts both offensively and defensively; in the end the Ice Cats led the charge, opening scoring in 2nd period at 4:43 with a top shelf goal by #11 Grace Ratelband, assisted by #88 Emily White-Stephenson; second goal unassisted with 8 seconds remaining scored by #88 Emily White-Stephenson. 3rd period was a nail-biter after the home teams 2nd period goal was denied, and Brantford sealed it at 8:00 with a goal by #4 Grace Jacklyn assisted by #9 Avyn Miller.
