Ice Cat of the Week: Emma Fullerton
Submitted By Lisa Wallis on Monday, December 30, 2019
This weeks Bantam B Brantford Ice Cat player of the week nomination is Emma Fullerton. Emma has been playing hockey since the young age of 6... she started out in the Ice Kittens learn to skate program instantly loving this amazing sport, and has continued through each division, now a first year player on the Bantam Rep B team.

Emma has a heart of gold, she is a friend to all and always sees the positive in every situation. She is a very dedicated and hardworking young lady on and off the ice. She gives her best effort each and every game, practice and off ice session to help her team out . This season for our first give-back team initiative our 18th Girl Project,  Emma was all in .... she raised her part of the donations process quickly and all on her own. She put her big heart into it truly wanting to help Peruth and her family. She asked daily about updates and for pictures and emails, making sure that the entire team was on board to make a positive difference for this young girl all the way across the world. Even commenting “ that the cost of an IPhone here was changing the life of a 5 year old girl who received corrective foot surgery, on the other side of the world “ and that she was honoured to be apart of this program. Emma has volunteered with many BGHA programs herself, ice kittens, tyke, Esso fun day, come try hockey, year end banquet prep, during the February tournaments and more .... she is always willing to help and enjoys making a positive difference. Hockey is not only a physical sport, it is also a team activity that helps to mould these young ladies to be better people overall.... to teach them dedication, life skills and to be a part of a team in a positive, fun way. Emma you have grown this season into a great hockey player, a team player all the way and continue to show a passion for this sport that we all love. Emma keep up the great job and always stay smiling. Your coaches and teammates.
