Ice Cat of the Week: Kassady Howat
Submitted By Lisa Wallis on Tuesday, December 17, 2019
This weeks Bantam rep B player of the week nomination is Kasady Howat . Kasady is a second year Bantam player and an extremely hard worker on the ice for every single game, practice and team event.

She is a very versatile player holding her own on both forward as well as playing a defensive position. She may come across as a first impression on being a quiet and a shy young lady… But once you get to know this girl I can promise you she is definitely not! Kasady has a heart of gold and through all our team give-back initiatives this season such as our 18th girl Peruth project, our Brantford food bank challenge, and our latest Nova Vita donations families for Christmas, she shows interest and wants to truly help make a difference. Thank you for being an amazing role model to not only your teammates and our association players  but to young girls your age . Anyone can make a positive difference and impact on their community if they believe in the cause, Kasady definitely embraces the right attitude to truly make a difference. Our teams latest give-back initiative was to our local Nova Vita charity. Our team sponsored 2 families in need this upcoming holiday season. Both a single parent with four young children in each family. From the hard work and great big hearts of these young players on our hockey team this season, they not only provided several Christmas gifts for each family member in both families but also with grocery store gift cards to provide a yummy Christmas dinner. Christmas is so much more than what you can just buy in a store. Her picture shown is holding Jocelyn Laroque’s Olympic gold medal for women’s hockey. Our Stoke development sessions were amazing this season and to finish it off back in October Jocelyn brought in her gold and silver Olympic medals to show our players that hockey can take you wherever you want to go. Kasady with your positive attitude, amazing hockey skills, determination and positive outlook in any situation… There is no doubt that you will go far not only in your hockey path but also in life. Keep up the great work! Your coaches and teammates.
