What’s Right for Female Hockey?
Submitted By Kate Hogarth on Wednesday, March 13, 2019
Ice Cat players may have dreams of hockey, scholarships and careers.

"A woman with designs on playing pro hockey and living in North America has 10 options today, four markets up here in Canada and six in the U.S. But the best in the world often choose to play where they do for one reason: It’s the closest team to their house."

"The CWHL's six franchises span three countries, with teams in Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, Markham, Ont., Worcester, Mass., and the south of China."

The Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) began in 2007.

Here is the link for an interesting article about female hockey from SportsNet.  The article is lengthy but well worth the read.
