Bantam B take SILVER at the Woodstock Tournament Jan 2020

This past weekend (Jan 2 – 5, 2020) our Bantam B Ice Cats played in the 24^th Annual Woodstock Wildcats Tournament. The team was ready to start the New Year with a WIN!
		The Bantam B group was made up of 5 teams: the Bluewater Hawks, the Woodstock Wildcats, the St. Thomas Panthers, the Owen Sound Ice Hawks and our Ice Cats. Each team played 4 games.
In the Round Robin, the Cats ended up in 2^nd place. Their first game was a win (2-1) against the Woodstock Wildcats. Friday’s game against the Bluewater Hawks was a loss but this only makes Ice Cats play harder. Saturday started with a shutout for Kahs Green with the win (7-0) against the Owen Sound Ice Hawks. The second game was a nail-biter that ended 0-0 against the St. Thomas Panthers. This shut-out went to Julia Tenklooster. Two awesome goalies! The next game for the team was Sunday for the championship.

		Sunday’s Championship game was against the 1^st place Round Robin team – the Bluewater Hawks and the Cats were ready! It was a fast paced, tight game. The score was 1-1 at the end of the 3rd period - UGH - overtime. The team was primed - alas the 1st place Round Robin Bluewater Hawks took the Gold. Our Cats still are coming home with a SILVER medal! Great 'Jewellery' that makes any outfit look good!



What a weekend of teamwork and fun, even when the pressure is on! These girls pull together both on and off the ice. Your coaching team are so proud of everything that you accomplish. This team rocks!
