The U13BB Brantford Ice Cats hockey season was one filled with thrilling victories and dramatic comebacks. Their first achievement came at the Stratford Aces Tournament, where they clinched the Gold Medal in spectacular fashion. In a tense semi-final showdown against the Huron Heat, the Ice Cats prevailed in a shootout, showcasing their resilience and skill. The final match against the St. Thomas Panthers was a rollercoaster of emotions, with the Ice Cats finding themselves trailing 3-0 with just five minutes remaining in the third period. Refusing to quit, they staged a remarkable comeback, tying the score at the end of regulation. The game was ultimately decided in another electrifying shootout, with the Ice Cats emerging triumphant.

In regular season action, the U13BB Ice Cats finished with an impressive record of 11 wins, 7 losses, and 4 ties, amassing a total of 26 points. Finishing third in the competitive Southwest division, their consistent performances earned them a spot in the championship round of the Southern playoffs. Throughout the regular season, the Ice Cats demonstrated their tenacity and talent while exhibiting a strong team dynamic.
While competing against the Ayr Rockets, in the Provincial qualifiers, the series proved to be a test of resilience and skill, with the first two games of the provincial playdowns resulting in hard-fought draws, both ending with 1-1 ties. In game three the Ice Cats showcased their strength, determination, and teamwork, delivering one of their most stellar performances of the season, securing 3-2 victory. |

The Brantford U13BB team will compete at the OWHA Provincials April 12th to 14th where they will be facing the Sault Ste. Marie Lady Greyhounds, London Devilletes, and the Oakville Hornets. Good luck Ice Cats!!
